Daisy [ADOPTED JANUARY 13]came into rescue in December of 2008. She was one of a group of 5 dogs from a shelter that had burned down. All 5 shared a small common pen outside in what already was freezing cold. Their situation was desperate. Daisy was reportedly 2-years-old at that time. Shorewood agreed to take all 5 dogs. Four of the dogs have found wonderful homes but Daisy is still with us because it turned out that she was Heartworm positive. We have treated Daisy and are very happy to report that she is now heart worm negative. She is a friendly little gal who seems to like everyone. She is crate trained and is doing well on her housetraining but will still need some work with that. She seems to enjoy the company of the other dogs in her foster home but would also be very happy being the only dog. She loves to sit in your lap but is just as happy to lay down near you. Like most dogs, she wants to be where the people are. She loves to take walks and chase the squirrels up the trees.
