Mariah came to us from a Wisconsin Shelter in August of 2004. She was a senior female who was deaf and also had some kidney problems. Mariah had a super sweet disposition and was found weaving in and out of traffic on a busy highway in horrible condition. She was a happy gal and got along with a cat and dogs in her foster home. Mariah was not adopted but she was truly loved by her foster mom. Mariah suffered renal failure and lived until Jan. 06 in her foster home.
The following is her Adoptables Bio:
Hi! I'm Mariah and I'm an older girl. I'm about 8 years old. Because I'm a little older I won't jump onto your furniture. But if you would want to pick me up and put me on the couch or bed that would be okay with me. I'm a little skinny and need to gain a little bit of weight. I like to chew on bones, but I don't play much! I love to follow "my people" around and love them to bits! I wouldn't potty in the house and I love to sleep on dog beds! I'm a nice girl and get along well with other dogs and cats. I'm deaf so my foster mom is teaching me sign language. I know quite a bit now! I came into rescue because I was found running across a highway. Please don't overlook me because of my age, I'm a great girl and have a lot of love left to give!
