Passed over the rainbow bridge November 14, 2014
R.I.P. Herbie Joseph Piechota (2003-2014) With a broken heart and much sadness we wanted to let everyone know that our beloved Herbie crossed over the Rainbow Bridge last night. It has been extremely difficult for Joe and myself to let Herbie go but we knew it was the best thing for him. I held Herbie in my arms as he started his journey to meet Barney and Freddie at the Bridge. We would like to thank the wonderful people at French Creek Veterinary Hospital for their wonderful compassion during this difficult time. They are so wonderful there and make this difficult time filled with love and compassion for us as well as our babies.
Herbie was adopted from the Shorewood Cocker Rescue in 2005 when we lived in Wisconsin. He was our heart dog after we lost our Freckles so suddenly around Christmas in 2004. Herbie and his brother Murphy made the long trip from Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Pennsylvania in 2007. He was one of the most loving and understanding babies. He welcomed all of our adopted kids into the family without any hesitation and only love. We will miss you terribly Herbie.
Love Mom, Dad, Murphy, Abby and Marley.
Spunky [ADOPTED FEBRUARY 6] came to us from the Joliet area where he was surrendered by his owners for lack of time. He is an 18 month old red male with freckles on his nose. He is medium coated, so will need grooming at least every few months. He is up to date on all of his shots, heartworm tested and neutered. He is scheduled for his microchip later this month. He is an all around happy boy who gets along with the other dogs in his foster home. He loves to romp in the snow and play with toys. He loves treats and will do almost anything to earn one. He is crate trained, but as with any new dog, will need work on his housetraining, but so far is doing better than most. He's looking for a family who will love him for the rest of his life.
