Junior [Adopted 8/3/14] is a very handsome red, field-coated male with a natural tail. He is estimated to be 5 or 6 years old. This very happy-go-lucky fellow with the wagging tail was adopted last November and when his owner found himself homeless, a family member took him in. He described Junior as “lovable” and “a sweetheart with nothing but love to share.” Because he’s going into the army, this family member had to make the difficult decision to give up Junior and Shorewood Cocker Rescue was contacted.
Junior has a mild neurological problem that causes his head tilt and some balance issues, noticeable when jumping onto and off furniture. He would do best in a home without stairs. Otherwise, Junior keeps up with my pups in the yard, is starting to run playfully, and absolutely loves going for walks. The origin of his problem is not known but is thought to have been the result of an injury, possibly intentional.
This intelligent, gentle, loving pup adores and very much wants to please his people. He's very social and would love to be in a home with a person/people who could spend time with him. Junior gets along well with other dogs, has bonded with my male pup, and would love to be in a home with a canine buddy (or two!). No need to crate him, he's completely housebroken.
Junior is special. He's the kind of pup that captures your heart! He did mine.
