Poppy [ADOPTED JANUARY 24] is a 5-year-old male who came to us from an Illinois shelter. When Poppy came to us he had a severe ear infection. We have worked on his ears and they have improved dramatically but they will still need constant monitoring. For that reason Poppy should only go to a home with Cocker experience. He is quite the bouncy boy and would really benefit from some obedience training. He is a medium sized Cocker weighing about 28 pounds.
Poppy does well with other dogs but may not be a good companion for a senior dog as he may want to initiate play too much.
Poppy is crate trained and housetrained.
