Lady [ADOPTED MARCH 8] is a 3-year-old female who was surrendered by her owner to a high kill shelter in the Chicago area. They listed the reason for surrender as "no time". Lady is a sweet, very friendly, laid back girl who loves human attention. She is housetrained and crate trained. She does not seem to mind the snow and ice and will romp in the fenced in backyard. Her foster home crates her at night and she sleeps quietly in her crate. We leave the crate door open during the day and she will go into her crate for a nap now and then.
Lady likes to play with toys and likes rawhides. She rides well in the car and walks well on a leash. She will sit for a treat and gets very excited when asked if she wants a treat. Lady knows her name and comes when she is called. She gets along well with the other dogs in her foster home and tolerates some play from her foster home's cocker, Amy, but will let Amy know when she has had enough. If you knew Amy, you would get annoyed after awhile too, as Amy LOVES to play and play and play. Lady loves everyone she meets and we have not seen any agressive behaviors from her. Lady adjusted very well to her foster home and we all love her.
