Edith [ADOPTED AUGUST 2] is a beautiful, petite black and white female, who weighs 18 pounds and is approximately 3 years of age. She came from a puppy mill and was dumped at a shelter. The shelter had a bad fire, but she is a survivor! Edith was seen by an ophthalmologist and it was determined she has a tiny cataract in her right eye, and a larger cataract in her left that affects her vision, but she does not let that slow her down. She is being treated for dry eye in both of her eyes. She is a happy, very sweet little girl who can be timid at first, but loves her people. She likes to be where they are. She is a character, and loves to tackle her foster brothers and wrestle gently with them. She also enjoys chew toys. Edith’s favorite places in the house are the doggie bed by her foster moms desk, the sofa and the bed. She can be quite the couch potato and would love nothing more than to sleep on your bed with you at night. She is crate trained and house trained.
Edith has lots of love to give to her forever family. She grows braver every day. She loves to kiss your fingers when you tickle her nose. Edith is a quiet little girl, who only barks when her foster brothers are barking, and then she likes to join in with her little bark, too! She travels very well in the car.
Because of Edith’s background, she will require a fenced in yard, and would love the companionship of another dog in the household. She is cat-friendly; they are curious creatures that she wants to play with. Most of all, Edith really wants a family to show her love and patience, and she will reward you by being your snuggle bug forever.
