Simon [ADOPTED JULY 22] is a young Cocker who came to us from an Animal Control facility where he came in as a stray. He is estimated to be about 18 months old and still has puppy energy. He is a bit shy at first meeting but in a few minutes he warms up. Simon is crate trained and appears to be housetrained. He will require a securely fenced yard or someone who will walk him regularly. NO tie outs for this boy. Although he has not been at all destructive in the house he will chew up a leash if given the opportunity. Once loose he can play an excellent game of tag. He is a sweet little guy but could benefit from some obedience training.
Update from Simon's Foster Mom on June 22: Simon definitely is both crate trained and housetrained. He eats in his crate and is crated if we are going to be gone for quite awhile, but has earned free roam for the majority of the time and if we are going to be gone for just a short time. He is a very playful guy. A forever home either as an only dog or with another very playful dog would be the best for him. He gets along very well with his foster sibblings. His play drive can be a bit overwhelming for less playful dogs. Simon loves to go for walks and can get a little barky when excited -- when going for a walk or when we get company, so we are working on this and he is making great progress. He does tend to pull on his leash so also working on that. Simon loves his people and to follow me where ever I go and loves sleeping in the human bed. He's a wonderful boy and will make a great companion for someone!
