Pepper Jack [ADOPTED JULY 6] is a 5 year old male who came to us from a shelter in Michigan. Pepper Jack has come a long way in rescue and has charmed many people in the time he has been with us. Pepper Jack has completed Basic Obedience, is currently enrolled in Intermediate Obedience and would be a good candidate for Canine Good Citizen, Flyball, Ability, or Tracking.
Pepper Jack loves to play ball and play with squeaky toys. Pepper Jack loves his crate and feels secure in there, therefore we will require that his forever home have a crate for him that he can be in while they are not at home. Pepper Jack is completely housetrained and will alert you when he needs to go outside. Pepper Jack gets along well with other dogs that are his same size or smaller and loves cats. He can be a little too playful for some cats so a cat that likes to play would be good for him. Pepper Jack loves to go for walks (he's used to a gentle leader and harness) and loves the outdoors! Pepper Jack does frighten easily so we ask that his forever home be patient and willing to not push him too hard. He gets used to situations but takes a little longer than some dogs. A home that has another dog would be good for him as then if he's scared he can follow the other dog.
Like many dogs Pepper Jack would prefer that people not put their faces in his or pick him up. Pepper Jack would excel in a home without children.
