Floyd [ADOPTED JUNE 19] was surrendered because his family was concerned about what they felt to be aggressive barking. They are expecting a new baby and felt that it was best if they gave him up. Floyd has only been with us a short time and we are still in the process of evaluating him. He has a birth defect which we believe to be neurological. When stressed he tilts his head to one side. Normally he tilts it left but on occasion to the right. He startles easily which may be the reason for some of the barking. He is a friendly guy once he meets you and doesn't have a mean bone in his body. We actually received a call from his doggy daycare vouching for what a good dog he is. We want to spend more time with Floyd before placing him. Hopefully he will be available for adoption in a few weeks. Floyd is still a baby at 2 years of age and should be able to find himself a great home. In the short time he has been with us he has done very little barking. We will continue to increase the stimuli to be able to understand what kind of home would be best for him.
