Bosco [ADOPTED APRIL 7] is a wonderful and very happy, chocolate and white, now 10 month old puppy. He has his dew claws and a natural (undocked) tail that wags merrily all the time. He’s a typical puppy with a lot of energy, loves to play with toys and to run in his backyard and absolutely loves everyone he meets. Bosco came to us from an Animal Control Facility .. no clue how this little guy could end up there! His foster mom has been working with him on being fearful of grooming and with being food possessive. He’s made so much improvement in both areas while in foster care, but will need continued work in those areas in his forever home. He gets along very well with the cockers in his foster home but becomes growly when food is involved. We are recommending that he be placed in a home with older children or adults only. He is also best placed as an only dog or with another dog who will stand up to him when needed. He tends to be bossy with submissive dogs if he thinks he can get away with it. Part of this is just being a fearless puppy and wanting to play with everyone. Highly recommending some form of obedience training for this little guy as a means of being social with other dogs. Bosco is housetrained and crate trained…. but does like to sleep in the human bed and to be where ever his people are. He’s a very smart and loving boy who just needs a little fine tuning. He is a very loving and devoted companion and loves being a lap dog.
