Nikki [ADOPTED FEBRUARY 18] is a 5 year old female who is quiet and reserved and somewhat shy, although she warms up to new faces with a little time. She is very low key, likes to be by her human and snuggle on the couch. Not being a Cocker with tons of exploring energy for the outdoors, she would fit perfectly into an apartment or "community" living situation. She would do best as an only dog, although she does just fine with the other Cockers in her foster home provided they leave her alone and stay out of her space. She walks well on a leash, is crate trained and housetrained. She prefers to have the company of her human when it is time to 'do her duty'. She was rescued from a kill shelter after her owner was placed in a palliative care facility. She is medium sized, light buff in color and has beautiful silver highlights. She has not been exposed to small children or cats since being in SCR. I believe a home with small children would have too much activity for her tastes.
