Pooh [ADOPTIED JUNE 29] is a two year old black male who came to us from a shelter in Indiana as his time was almost up. He will always be grateful to the volunteer who contacted us and saved his life. (Thanks Michelle) He gets along well with other dogs and is very friendly, but does guard his food when other dogs are around. He has recently been neutered and updated on shots. He is also heartworm negative and microchipped. He is crate trained and housetrained. Pooh had been surrendered by his former family because they said they did not have time for him. This was evident by the terrible condition he was in when he arrived. This boy needs a family who can keep up with his show coat. He will need professional grooming every 8 weeks to look and feel his best. I would like to see him go to a family who has had a long coated cocker in the past and has a strong recommendation from their groomer. Pooh is a wonderful boy and I never want to see him in such terrible condition again. Pooh also came with eye infections that we are treating. He may have some visual loss in one eye that may be permanent. We will know more as his infections clear up.
