Jake [ADOPTED AUGUST 17] is a two year old, (3 when adopted after 16 months in foster care) tall, red/white male Cocker, who is neutered, heartworm negative and current on his shots. He came to us from a shelter south of Chicago and was surrendered by his family because they thought dog ownerships was too expensive. Jake is now neutered and has good ears, a field coat and seems to have little in the way of expense to his owners. Jake is crate trained and doing well on his housetraining but still has a way to go before he can be trusted. He is cautious with strangers and takes a while to make new friends, but is a loving and loyal companion to his foster dad. He is a nice boy looking for a family wo can take the time to earn his trust. Jake has had two minor seizures, that did not require treatment in the past year and a half. Jake seems to prefer men to women. God bless his forever family for giving him a good home!
