Delilah [ADOPTED JULY 13] is a black female who is about five years old. She came from a shelter in Indiana having been left in an overnight drop box for dogs. We do not have those around here, but it seems like a sad fate for a dog. She has show breeding behind her, and is pretty and petite. She is fearful of new situations at first. She is in good weight. She is spayed, heartworm negative, microchipped and up to date on all shots. She is good for grooming but is timid and non challengeing. She has had puppies, I am guessing she was probably a breeder and then dumped when they didn't need her any more. She would do best in a home with adults, not because she is aggressive at all, but because I fear small children would intimidate her. She came to us with an eye infection that we are working on, but she may also have a mild case of dry eye, which could require ongoing care. If she has any visual loss, it is not apparent. She is good at finding her way out of a fenced yard and enjoys chasing around on rabbit trails. She is looking for a loving home to retire to. More info as we get to know her.
