Dana [ADOPTED APRIL 21] is a 6 year old, beautiful, petite, buff Cocker who is a retired show champion. She has a nice temperament and is healthy and active, although she is a bit shy at first -- particularly with men. Her weight is good and she loves attention. She is crate trained and housetrained but needs some supervision when out of her crate. She is fully vetted and up to date on shots. She is hoping to find a home with someone who will be home with her or who has another dog who will be her companion while her family is away. She is not accustomed to children so we are seeking a home with adults. She was adopted and returned by her adoptive family due to the fact that she has a distasteful habit of eating doggie droppings if she has access to them. Her adoptive family kept her for two weeks and then decided to send her back to us. This is not an easy habit to break, so close supervision is important in preventing this. While this is so distasteful to humans, it causes no real problem for the dog according to experts, and is more common than people realize.
