We got an email from one of our previous fosters – Polar031 adopted in 2003.. Just too cute not to share!! 

Hello Shorewood!  And Merry Christmas!

I was a scrawny little guy when I left your care almost 4 years ago.......but I wanted to let you know that I am doing just great and love my family!  They take really good care of me and I get to go on all sorts of trips and walks.  I like to ride in the car, but will cry if I don't get a window seat.

Here is a picture of my girls.  They dress me up sometime and I don't mind cause there are always treats if I sit really still for my picture.  Katie is the teenager and Amanda is just seven.

We received your news letter just today and will be sending you a check to help out some other floppy eared friends. 

We have not been able to join in the Wiggle Butt Walk as my girls usually play soccer on the weekends in the fall.  I usually get to go to the games too unless it's too hot and then I stay home.

I am a healthy boy and really love children and anyone's touch and praise.  I love to play rough and tumble games with older kids, but just melt when the littlest ones are rubbing my tummy.

I have only one behavioral problem.....  I like to steal sandwiches off the kitchen table.  I guess I'll never forget what it was like to be hungry when I was an orphan.  I am good a telling time though and always go over to my food cabinet at 5:00 p.m. sharp!  But even though I seem to be always hungry, I am very gentle with our new baby Cockatiel even when he pecks at my furry toes.  He tosses me lettuce fro his perch sometimes - so we have become good friends.

This holiday season, my wish is for all of my friends still in your care to find homes like I did! Thank you for all you do, and in making sure that I found my loving home and these silly girls.
