Our Fifth Annual Wigglebutt Walk was held on September 6th at Brighton Dale Park in Kansasville, WI. It was a huge success thanks to your support!! 152 Cockers were registered from 6 States -- Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, Michigan, Ohio and New Mexico. They walked with their families to raise money for Shorewood Cocker Rescue, Wisconsin Cocker Rescue and Illinois Cocker Rescue. The weather was absolutely perfect! The day's activities featured the Wigglebutt Walk. What a truly awesome sight to see so many Cockers of all colors doing their part to help other Cockers in Rescue. Other Activities included a huge Silent Auction, Raffles, Natural Instinct Testing, Lure Coursing, Contests for your Cockers, Refreshments and a Bake Sale. Marge Hudson of Wetnoze Photography was there offering professional photos of your dogs or the entire family. Many of our Adoptables attended the event as well as some of our "Coming Attractions" (dogs very new to rescue who weren’t quite ready for adoption yet). Libby081 and Sarah081 found their forever homes at this year's walk.

It’s always such a pleasure to see so many of former fosters again and to see just how fabulously they are doing in their forever homes. It’s just as wonderful to be able to talk to their families who dearly love them.

We sincerely want to thank everyone who attended this event and made this such a wonderful day for us all! We want to extend a very special Thank You to so many Family Members and wonderful Friends of some of our Volunteers who consistently pitch right and do so much to help make our Big Day such a Success! Thank You John and Angela, Susan, Elizabeth, Deb, Barb, Jeanette, Leon and Danielle. Vince, neighbor to Donna Pfingsten, our treasurer, was there again this year and did so much to help us all out. You’re a very special young man Vince and we do appreciate all your help! Last but far from least, a huge THANK YOU to all of our Volunteers who put so much into making this such a Awesome Event! All of your efforts are noticed and so very much appreciated!

Wigglebutt Walk 2008 is now just a wonderful memory and we’re already looking forward to Wigglebutt Walk 2009! Hope to see you all there!!

Photos for 2008

The Park furnishes the beautiful setting for our event, the shelter and picnic tables. Everything else that we need for the day's events has to be brought in by our volunteers. This year a few brave volunteers and friends of volunteers arrived at the Park in the dark before 5:30 a.m. to start setting up snow fencing for the lure course and adoption center; setting up canopies; rearranging tables in the shelter for the food area and bake sale; spraying for mosquitos, setting up tables and preparing the area for the silent auction, starting grills and getting food cooking; etc. As other volunteers rolled in, they joined the others already there getting things set up and ready to go. The first photos this year are of setting up before the event. At the end of the event, everything has to be taken down and packed up again for the trip home.	Setting up the Adoption center. As you can see it's light out now, the fencing done for the Adoption Center and Lure Course are done and one of the canopies for the Adoption Center is up.

This year, SCR had a beautiful litter of 8 1/2 week old puppies born in their foster home making their event debut at the Wigglebutt Walk as Coming Attractions. Carson, Lily, Collin and Haley are all pooped out from playing and are taking a nap together in their crate.	Momma, Lola, took to the high ground for a bit of a rest herself.
